When I Leave Town is an act one song for Lady Holyrood (Cara Arellano) from the musical comedy Florodora (1899). This video is from Lyric Theatre’s July 2009 revival of Florodora in the Discovery Series. In this clip Lady Holyrood has come to the Philippine island to snare Florodora’s owner, Cyrus Gilfain in marriage. She meets Frank Abercoed and tells him of her societal influence.
