Pierre-Auguste Renoir (February 25, 1841December 3, 1919) was a French artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. As a celebrator of beauty, and especially feminine sensuality, it has been said that “Renoir is the final representative of a tradition which runs directly from Rubens to Watteau”.
“Granada” is a Mexican song written in 1932 by AgustÃn Lara. The song is about the Spanish city of Granada and has become a “standard” in music repertoire. The song has been covered many times throughout the years. Popular versions include those by Frankie Laine, Mario Lanza, Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavorotti, Placido Domingo and, in German, by Fritz Wunderlich and Spanish pop-duo Baccara. The photo of myself used in this video was taken by Brigham Freeth. He’s an extremely talented photographer and I highly reccommend him for any event. Please check his website out at www.brighamfreethphoto.com I hope you all enjoy my humble attempt at this latin standard! Thanks for watching and please don’t forget to rate, comment and SUBSCRIBE!!!

Plácido Domingo & Luciano Pavarotti – O Mimì, Tu Più Non Torni. In september 1991 the Metropolitan Opera celebrated it’s 25th anniversary at Lincoln Center by performing three different acts from a selection of popular Met productions. In the final act (act II of Die Fledermaus) there were some special guest performances by highly renowned opera stars. Two of those guests were Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti doing an unusual duet for two tenors. They sung “O Mimì, Tu Più Non Torni” from Giacomo Puccini’s opera “La Bohème” whereby Domingo sings the part of Marcello. James Levine is conducting. The idea behind these clips was to provide a High Quality version of these aria’s on youtube. Unfortunately the YT encoding creates an artificial noise in the peaks. I hope you still can enjoy this. The Source for this video was a DG laserdisc. The release on DVD is planned on april 1st 2010. Yeah it’s spelled grammophon… Who can spell that without an error?
