Et juste avant l’une des représentations de Divine Performing Arts cette semaine au Centre Kennedy, la danseuse principale, Michelle Ren, a donné un spectacle d’un autre genre. Elle a été invitée à montrer une leçon de danse classique chinoise à l’un des ensembles de danse les plus connus à Washington. Voici les images de ce cours unique. Ensemble de danse urbaine a été créé en 1996 et a fait partie du Top 25 des ensembles à aller voir par le magazine Dance. Il ya cinq ans, l’ensemble a monté sa propre école de danse qui enseigne aussi bien le classique que le moderne. Lorsqu’ils ont entendu que la Divine Performing Arts viendrait à Washington, les organisateurs de l’école ont voulu saisir cette opportunité pour en apprendre plus sur cette forme artistique qui semble vivre une véritable renaissance : la danse classique chinoise.
