Joffrey Ballet TV spot – Dance St. Louis

March 9th and 10th at the Touhill – The Joffrey Ballet flexes its muscles as one of the world’s top dance companies in an edgy and passionate program by contemporary choreographers. In the white-hot Age of Innocence by a brilliant new voice in American dance, Edwaard Liang, passions seethe below the surface of social conventions until they are sensually unleashed. After the Rain by British choreographer Christopher Wheeldon explores the push-pull of relationships that are sometimes tender, sometimes agonizing. The program also features a work that has become a modern classic, the explosive In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated by American choreographer William Forsythe, who pushes ballet to its limits with rapid-fire virtuosity. Presented by Wells Fargo Advisors and Dance St. Louis.
